Product: AOP Monarch

Subject: Language Arts, Math, Science
Levels Used: 8th grade
Dates Used: 2010-11 school year

Pros:
  • Inexpensive, the ease of use, scheduling, automatic grading.

    Cons:

  • The math curriculum is very light on explanation.
  • We have to use a lot of online resources to explain the lessons.
  • The science curriculum is very short on experiments. They should make more use of large videos of experiments being done so you know what yours should look like.
  • Also, the special projects for all of the subjects have very little explanation.

    Special projects are projects that you create and assign, so there's nothing to explain. The teacher's manual does explain that the special projects are for the parent to add their own projects to the curriculum...providing a way for you to customize it.
